I actually had a guy once tell me that I was wrong in using Grand Theft Auto to describe Saints Row. I insisted there must be some common ground, thinking perhaps I misunderstood. Nope, two totally different games. I asked about platforms…Both can be played on an XBox 360, right? Still not enough, as the GTA series can be played on the PS2. Saints Row is a one-platform pony. Seriously.
Sure, I`m no connoisseur of the genre (sorry, obviously I should say genres). In fact, some quick fact-checking reveals I “apostrophized” Saints Row incorrectly (at least to match the game`s title). I`ll have to fix that. It`s clear this isn`t exactly the game I dropped everything to play. However, I have to take it as blind fanboyish ignorance to not recognize that there are some similarities between the two. Frankly, I enjoyed all those games. Same genre does not equal bad.
I`ve had this idea kicking around for about two months now. Actually, about two and a half months…Since I got an XBox 360. I wanted to see it in print, then got the idea for this site. Of course, Greg Dean

. I, of course, was lost in the XBox Live Marketplace, and I dare say the ability to increase one`s gamer score through “tiny purchases” is very tempting. Very tempting, indeed…
