I decided to go in a different direction.  I liked the idea of revisiting the Lobster’s hatred of the guy, but it is simply a primal response to almost being cooked.    Several ideas have percolated through my head, and since then I decided I wanted to run through a parody of The Manchurian Candidate.  I even decided to do it in grays and mimic some shots from the original film.  I don’t know how well this experiment will go, but we’ll see.  If nothing else, it may give more depth in a non-canonical fashion to their history.

Also, I cheated:  There is actually a full-color comic put together, which I then converted to all grays.  It actually looks better this way, believe it or not.  Color composition has never been my strong suit, so that doesn’t really surprise me.  The reason I cheated was because I wanted to use my original color palette so everything would look consistent.  Unfortunately, none of my filters worked.  In retrospect, I guess I could have put everything in color, used my filters, then dropped it back to grayscale, but the results would have been the same either way.
