My not-so-mysterious absenceon March 2, 2011 at 1:27 pm
For those of you who have been following my comic for several years, a few weeks of absence should not come as a surprise to you. I always feel bad whenever I miss updates, because I have such great fans. That makes me feel worse, and it feeds into a complex recipe of self-loathing, which invariably leads to more missed updates, and, well…it’s not you, it’s me. You guys are great. It just happens that missed updates have strong temporal autocorrelation. I’m not abandoning you.
A few pieces of news:
- I am now expecting a child. I’m getting kind of impatient, too. How long does it take for women to gestate children, anyway? You’d think we’d have this thing all super-efficient by now. Come on, scientists, what’s up?
- Are you in the Boston area? Shoot me an e-mail. I’ll make it worth your time.
- What with a child in the works, the future of the comic is uncertain. I’d like to continue doing it, but it may require format changes. The comic you see today may not resemble the comic you see a year from now. Brace yourself.
As for updates, I’ll get to them when I finally get myself in gear. Until then, if you don’t follow my Twitter feed, you’re doing yourself a great disservice. I have started posting daily sketches of random things, so between that and my razor-sharp wit you may find something to sate your insatiable appetite for humor.
